Drops of youth by The Body Shop

Good afternoon happy people! :)

Quando lerem isto, espero que estejam todos no bem bom, a gozar o feriado de 25 de Abril pelo menos quem está em Portugal, e para quem leia o Blog noutro país, que igualmente estejam a ter um ótima semana!

Consegui encontrar um furo no meio da nossa vida ainda meio a viver das malas, para me sentar um pouco ao Computador e escrever-vos.

Já nos encontramos em Amesterdão, chegámos à duas semanas e a fase de adaptação esta felizmente 

a correr bem. 

Ainda existem pequenas conquistas a fazer, mas pensamento positivo, empenho e boa vontade chega-se onde se quer. Conseguimos percorrer 2000 quilómetros de Europa com um Opel Corsa de 2001, de Portugal aos Países Baixos, com revisao feita ainda no final de 2016, e nao é que o calhambeque se aguentou? Máquina! :D

Estava com um medo danado que ficássemos a penantes, mas felizmente nao tinha de ser.. 

Entretanto já vivemos aqui alguns episódios bem engraçados, no meio do Campo e no meio de centenas de assuntos chatos a tratar (encontrar casa,tratar de documentos..) podemos nos dar por felizes de poder aproveitar a natureza logo ao sair da porta do apartamento provisório onde nos encontramos.
Isto foi um pequeno update como as coisas tem evoluido por aqui, mas agora gostaria de falar-vos um pouco da minha pele. Fazem ideia em que estado se encontra?
A única coisa que em casa na Caparica sempre funcionava e que deixou infelizmente de fazer efeito agora, foi a minha máscara do The Body Shop que amava usar semanalmente que se chama "Drops of Youth".

When you read this, I hope that you are doing well and making the best out of the 25th April bank holiday, at least those ones which read the blog from Portugal, for all the other ones I wish you also a nice week!
Although we are kind of living out of our bags, I´ve finally found an empty space on my daily plan, to sit on my PC a bit and to write you.
We´ve moved already to Amsterdam two weeks ago and we fortunately are adapting very well.
There are still small challenges, but with a positive mind set we get there.
We've made our 2000kms jorney all across Europe  with an old Opel Corsa from 2001, from Portugal all the way to the Netherlands, knowing that the last manutention mechanical wise was in 2016, but hey we still made it :D
I was scared we wouldn´t make it and somehow was expecting the worse scenario of getting stuck in the nowhere, but luckily everything worked positively in our favor.
Meanwhile, we collected a bunch of stories to tell here in the country side while assuring our settlement in here, with tons of boring TO DO´s to tick on an neverending list (like finding a place to live and all the docs and paper related stuff).
Still we´re fortunate to be able to take advamtage of the nature right in front of our temporary flat rental.

This was quick update about how things are developing here, but now I would like to share how my skin in reacting to all of this. Do you have an idea?

The only thing, which always worked  back home at Caparica, what is giving a hard time in here, 
is the effectiveness of my mask from The Body Shop which I´ve loved to use weekly called "Drops of Youth".

 

As temperaturas aqui sao bastante baixas em comparação com o Sul ou Oeste europeu.

A minha pele tem estado extremamente seca, e literalmente a escamar da mudança do clima.

Para quem se encontra ainda numa área geográfica de temperaturas humildes, fica aqui a dica para experimentarem ou pedirem numa das lojas The Body Shop uma amostra porque sempre funcionava lindamente comigo em termos de re-hidratacao rápida, à borlix ;).

Trata-se de uma mascara que é aplicada à noite antes de deitar, ou como eu, enquanto estou a ver um episódio de uma série, e depois só se retira o excesso e mantem-se um filme mínimo na pela durante a noite. De manha ao acordarem a pele absorveu tudo e só precisam de lavar a cara com água.

Isto repetido 3 dias seguidos, devolve uma iluminação e hidratação bonitas e tem um efeito rejuvenescedor, caso nao se encontrem em situacoes de temperaturas extremas, como é o meu caso no momento.

The temperatures here are still considerably low comparing to South or Western Europe.
My skin has been extremely dry, and literally flaking due to the climate change.
For those however which are living at an geographical area with comon spring and summer temperatures, I´ll still leave the recomendation to try this mask out or ask at The Body Shop for a small sample in one of their Stores as it always worked really well back then on my skin for a quick fix for hyper dried skin, they are free ;).
It´s a mask, which you apply before you go to bed, or like me, while watching an episode of a serie, and then you take out the excess from your skin and leave a thin layer during the night.
At the next day, when you wake up in the morning you only wash your face with water.
I´ve repeated it for three days sometimes till the luminosity and hidration went back to normal, it also has a skin renewal effect as long as you are not exposed to extreme temperatures like myself at the moment.

Tem um cheirinho agradável a natureza, contem células da flor dos Alpes italianos com o nome Edelweiss e tem uma consistência em gel.

Boa sorte com o produto, eu cá vou esperando pela primavera nórdica :)
Relativamente ao preço já nao sei precisar mas penso que foi na casa dos 28 Euros. 

Digam o que acharem, especialmente se estam como eu já na casa dos 30.

It has a nice natural smell to it and it contains plant stem cells from the Italian Alps flower called Edelweiss. The consistency is like a gel.
Good luck with the product if you intend to by it, I will wait for a proper nordic spring to re-use mine :)
Additionally in regards to the price, I can´t really precise but I would say around 28 Euros.
Tell me how it works for you, specially if you´re like me in the 30's.
